I loved watching these 2 and ready to start my little robin. You mentioned using an easel and I’m thinking about getting one. I’ve never used one and all my work has been done laying down on a desk. I also signed up for the entire course and I can’t wait! Thank you for doing these prep days! Should get us all rolling and ready.

I am so excited to be working on honouring the wild with you Yvette! We are going to have SO MUCH FUN, feel a little challenged, and get deep into doing this important work of self care and sharing our love of our more than human kin.

A little desk easel is such a good investment - they are not expensive, and can make such a difference to how you work, particularly comfort wise. I can't wait to hear how you go - it will feel a little weird at first, but I have no doubt you will appreciate it pretty quickly. Or you can always do something modified like I did with books - use a drawing board or something more firm behind your work, and for a while I did this and used a bit of the non-slip matting you can get to use under rugs and in the kitchen to stop everything moving. It is all an opportunity to get creative!

Thank you for creating and sharing this space. I am an artist that hasn't been creative in an eon. Starting back up again has been on my mind a lot. It's scary starting over from the beginning. It will take me longer than most to complete this challenge and they will look like tripe, but I look forward to the possibilities.

Kim, I am so glad you are here. And I am so proud of your courage - it is no small thing to be vulnerable to show up and try. Let your wild heart guide you every step of the way, it sounds like she has been whispering to you for a while that you are so worthy of following your creativity.

There is no time pressure, this is a lifelong adventure.

Lots of deep breaths, small steps, and know that I am cheering you on every stop of the way (and look for the post called **Creative Check-in**. It has a workbook for you to use that allows space for all these big feelings, but also reminds you that you have to be kind to yourself too. Because you are all kinds of amazing!)

This seems fabulous! I’m a wildlife photographer but I’ve always wanted to learn to draw and to be good at it. I can somewhat draw from reference pictures (but without, no way ;). I will watch this tutorial of yours when I have the time (now I’m in Malawi, and network’s not the best ;) I watched a little bit and I really like your style. I’ve been looking for some tutorials in drawing animals and now I found it. I’m so glad that I found your Substacks! Thank you, Natalie!

Oh Piritta, I am so honoured you are here! I think we will definitely have to have a chat, I was thinking about interviewing some wildlife photographers here, your work is so vital (and such an incredible artform)!
